WILBUR
Wilbur came to A.D.O.P.T. from a local animal control facility in May 2008. A Basset Mix, he was a great dog and befriended all volunteers and dogs he came to know.
Sadly however week after week, while other dogs went home with their forever families, Wilbur remained with his A.D.O.P.T. family. He received the best care possible but in November he became very ill. With extensive testing we learned that Wilbur had developed a tumor within his sinus cavity which had developed tentacles extending toward his brain. Surgery was not possible. Sadly we had to let Wilbur cross over the Rainbow Bridge on December 18, 2008.
We could not help Wilbur but wanted to honor his memory with the creation of THE WILBUR FUND to help other animals who come to A.D.O.P.T. in need of extraordinary and costly medical care. Wilbur’s Fund has helped many animals receive the critical surgeries and other care needed to improve the quality of their lives. At A.D.O.P.T. we often accept animals having special needs. Can you help A.D.O.P.T. help these animals — and honor Wilbur — with a donation to his fund?
