Adopting A Dog

Below is an alphabetical list of the dogs A.D.O.P.T. has available for adoption. This list is updated almost daily.

Each dog is described as either being “At our shelter” or “By appointment only”.

The shelter has room for approximately 30 dogs, and 4 to 12 puppies (depending on litter size). Those listed as “at our shelter” can be seen there during normal dog adoption hours. Please expect a wait of anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours when you come to our shelter to adopt a dog. Most days, we are very busy and our adoption counselors are volunteers. We will do our best to meet with you as soon as possible. 

Those listed as “by appointment only” are in foster care. Please follow the directions in the dog’s description to learn more about that particular dog.

Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don`t have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please click here

 Adoption Hours For Dogs

  Saturdays: Noon to 3:00 p.m.
Sundays: Noon to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In order to process the application, dogs will not go home with adopter the same day as the adoption interview.

 We do not accept checks for adoption fees. We accept cash and credit cards (Visa or MasterCard) only.

When you come to adopt a dog, please bring two forms of identification, one of which should be a picture ID.  If the address on the ID and check are not the same or current, please provide some other proof of residence such as a utility bill, etc.
